Onderstaande informatie gevonden mbt de komende upgrade V2.0 voor de Genos 2.Weet wel niet of dit bericht corect is.
Mij zegt het allemaal niets want ik kan slecht Engels.Ik ben gewoon tevreden met wat nieuwe styles of nieuwe klanken maar dat zit er geloof niet bij.
Hello! Many colleagues have asked me: What exactly does OS V.2 bring to the Genos2?
As a major generational update (shifting from the V1.xx branch to V2.xx), this release focuses on unlocking advanced software features that take full advantage of the Genos2’s LED-equipped controllers and redesigned physical displays.
Style Section Extension: Following the pattern of significant, large-scale updates, Yamaha has modified the structure of sections within the Style Creator. This allows for much more complex rhythmic patterns—ideal for longer compositions or progressive live arrangements.
Major Optimizations for the FM Engine (DX7): The Genos2 features a built-in FM synthesizer. This update introduces new real-time modulation algorithms and additional parameters within the Voice Edit screen—such as advanced portamento timing options and new Mono/Poly crossfade behaviors—enabling much deeper editing of synthesized sounds.
Advanced Dynamic Control for Sliders: The instrument features linear LED displays above each slider. The new system optimizes transition algorithms in "Catch" mode, preventing sudden volume jumps when switching between screens or mixer sections during a live performance.
Connectivity and App Upgrades: Enhanced native integration with the "MIDI Song to Style" application, which allows you to automatically convert MIDI files into native, fully-functional styles, while recognizing the complex instrumentation capabilities of the Genos2. Playlist Stability & Efficiency: Fixes for alphabetical indexing errors within the Playlist, and significantly faster reloading of Registration banks—without MIDI clock jitter—when the instrument is connected to DAW systems or external displays via the HDMI port.
Advanced App Synchronization: Expanded support and high-speed direct connectivity with new mobile utilities for managing files and external packs (including Expansion Explorer).
Style Architecture Optimization (Pattern Length): Increased storage capacity for measures within the Style Creator, enabling complex arrangements of up to 128 bars.
How to prepare for the installation:
When the update becomes available on the official Yamaha Support platform in a few days, please note that the installation will require an empty USB flash drive. This drive must be formatted directly on the keyboard, following the instructions provided within the downloaded archive.
It remains to be seen—upon the official release in a few days—what exact capacity limit the developers will set for the new user expansion partition.
